Democratic Mayor Michael Hancock of Denver lost his bet as quickly as his beloved Broncos lost their bid to the Super Bowl, and it was Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake?who came out victorious in this rivalrous football bet.
Hancock placed a bet with Rawlings-Blake?in favor of the Broncos at the Jan. 13 NFL divisional playoffs game.?His losing two-part wager cost him a box of dry aged ?cowboy cut? rib eye steaks?from Lombardi Brothers Meats and?a performance of ?Ray Lewis? signature game dance.
Denver?s mayor, who is a man of his word, completed his second task, recording a YouTube video doing the ?Ray Lewis? to Nelly?s 2002 hit single, ?Hot in Here.?
At the end of the dance Hancock glares at the camera leaving a stern message, ?Good luck, Ray Ray.?
The performance was filmed in the mayor?s office with a crew of his staffers ready to ?get to work,? as Hancock says at the end of the video.
Though the Denver mayor was a good sport about losing his bet, Amber Miller, Hancock?s spokeswoman, declared that he initially had to postpone fulfilling his end of the bet due to a leg injury he suffered ?during pre-game warm-ups? at the National Western Stock Show.
